Wireshark 101: Transmission Control Protocol

Wireshark 101: Transmission Control Protocol

This video explains the Transmission Control Protocol (or TCP) within Wireshark and is presented by Shannon Morse of Hak5. We will discuss breaking down the Transmission Control Protocol or TCP for short, which runs in Layer 4 of the OSI model and runs on top of IP. TCP basically makes sure your data gets to where it’s supposed to go in a reliable way. We will look at the packets as it enters the network and discuss the different parts of it like the Acknowledgment Number and the different flags like URG, ACH, PSH, RST, SYN, and FIN.

My Notes:
Very nice live breakdown using Wireshark
